The applicability of epoch system in a VET sector

Abstract

The study analyses the implementation of the epoch system in vocational education and training within the frame of a case study taken place in the tourism sector. The research’s aim was to reveal why it can be motivating and effective in a long term period to be educated in epoch system structure in the field of vocational education. It seeks answers for the above mentioned questions from the opinions of students and teachers and draws conclusions for the applicability of epoch system in the education of students struggling with learning disabilities. The epoch system based educational structure could also contribute with success to prevent dropout.
