“200 Years in the Service of Knowledge and Society” – Proceedings of the VII Conference “The Real Library – Library Reality”
Abstract
The conference series "The Real Library – Library Reality" (VKKV), held biennially since 2013, has by now become one of the largest-scale professional gatherings in Hungarian library and information science. Organized by the Institute of Library and Information Science (KITI) and its Doctoral Programme in Library and Information Science at the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE BTK), the conference traditionally takes place within the framework of the Hungarian Science Festival, initiated by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
In 2025, the event was held on 25–26 November.
The motto of the 2025 Hungarian Science Festival – commemorating the anniversary of the founding of the Academy – was "200 Years in the Service of Knowledge and Society," while the main theme of the VKKV conference was the mental health of librarians.
